Haka House Hostels - New Zealand Wide.
When our clients and their stakeholders embarked on their journey to redevelop and relaunch the 13 hostels previously owned by the YHA, they wanted to create spaces that appealed to a wide demographic of travellers.
Our brief was to refurbish nine of the existing hostels in Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Franz Josef, Christchurch, Mt Cook, Tekapo, Wanaka and Queenstown to provide a higher standard of accommodation for travellers. Alongside a large collaborative design team, there was a focus on creating social well-functioning communal areas, carefully designed sleeping spaces and raising the standard of amenities and technology. Outside spaces were also redesigned to make the most of the incredible locations and views.
